Mô hình can thiệp cộng đồng trước sau có nhóm chứng về suy dinh dưỡng trẻ em dưới 5 tuổi được triển
khai tại 6 buôn dân tộc thiểu số thuộc 3 xã của huyện Cư Kuin, tỉnh Đắk Lắk trong 1 năm: Từ tháng 6 năm
2013 đến tháng 6 năm 2014 nhằm tìm ra giải pháp can thiệp hữu hiệu cho đồng bào dân tộc thiểu số ở Tây
Nguyên. Can thiệp được thực hiện thông qua truyền thông giáo dục qua tờ rơi bằng ngôn ngữ dân tộc bản
địa và thảo luận nhóm kết hợp hướng dẫn thực hành bằng nguồn thực phẩm sẵn có tại địa phương. Kết
quả cho thấy sau 1 năm can thiệp, hầu hết các chỉ số đánh giá về kiến thức đều có hiệu quả từ 32% đến
80% so với nhóm chứng; Một số chỉ số về thực hành có hiệu quả ở mức thấp hơn: Từ 26% đến 47% so
với kỹ năng thực hành nhóm chứng; Về tình trạng dinh dưỡng của trẻ em: Với cùng độ tuổi và cùng giới
tính sau 1 năm can thiệp một trẻ tăng cân nặng và chiều cao 0,3 lần so với trẻ không can thiệp. Nghiên
cứu này cho thấy can thiệp dinh dưỡng trẻ em dân tộc thiểu số bằng cách truyền thông giáo dục qua tờ
rơi ngôn ngữ dân tộc và thảo luận nhóm kết hợp hướng dẫn thực hành bằng nguồn thực phẩm sẵn có tại
địa phương theo phương pháp cầm tay chỉ việc là phương pháp can thiệp phù hợp và hiệu quả cho đồng
bào dân tộc thiểu số ở Tây Nguyên
Summary:
The model of community intervention wasconducted
in 6 villages of 3 communities in Cu
Kuin district of Dak Lak province during one
year, from June 2013 to June 2014 in order to
find out effective interventions for child malnutrition
in this area. Communication and education
through leaflets in minority languages and
group discussions combined with practical instructions
with locally available food. The result
showed that after one year of intervention,
most of the indicators assessing knowledge are
effective from 32% to 80% in comparison to
the control group; Some indicators of practice
are effective at lower levels: from 26% to 47%
in comparison to the control groups’ practice
skills; Regarding the nutritional status of children
at the same age, after one year of intervention,
a child’s weight and height increase
by 0.3 times compared to children without
intervention. The study showed the nutrition
interventions for ethnic minority children by
communicating and educating through leaflets
in minority languages and group discussions
combined with practical instructions with locally
available food are appropriate and effective
methods for ethnic minorities in the Central
Highlands
