Trầm cảm với hậu quả gần nhất là làm giảm nâng suất lao động đang ngày càng trở nên phổ biến đối với sinh viên nói chung và với sinh viên trường Y nói riêng. Một nghiên cứu cắt ngang được thực hiện nhằm xác định tỷ lệ trầm cảm và tìm hiểu một số yếu tố liên quan đối với sinh viên Đại học Y dược Cần Thơ năm 2013. Kết quả cho thấy có 19% sinh viên có nguy cơ trầm cảm, 7% sinh viên trầm cảm nhẹ và 19% sinh viên trầm cảm thực sự theo thang đo CES-D. Một số yếu tố làm tăng nguy cơ trầm cảm, bao gồm: các ngành học y khoa, áp lực học tập (áp lực cao (OR=4,35; 95%CI(3-6,25)), áp lực trung bình (OR=1,69; 95%CI(1,18-2,44, gia đình nghèo/cận nghèo (OR=1,6; 95%CI(1,14-2,24)), mồ côi cha và/hoặc mẹ (OR=2,24; 95%CI(1,25-4,03)), có đi làm thêm (OR=1,41; 95%CI(1,04-1,91)). Nghiên cứu này đã chỉ ra hơn một phần tư số sinh viên trầm cảm, tỷ lệ trầm cảm phân bố không đều theo ngành và thời gian học. Một số yếu tố liên quan làm tăng nguy cơ trầm cảm bao gồm: các ngành học y khoa, áp lực học tập cao, hoàn cảnh gia đình nghèo, mồ côi cha mẹ, có làm thêm ngoài giờ.
Summary:
Depression with its recent consequence of
reducing labor productivity that is becoming
more and more common for students in general
and for medical school students in particular. A
cross-sectional study was conducted to identify
the rate of depression and to identify some related
factors among the students of Can Tho University
of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2013. Results
showed that 19% of students was at depressive
risk, 7% of students had light-depression, 19%
of students had major-depression. Some related
factors are: medical majors, study pressure (in high
(OR= 4.35; 95%CI(3-6.25)), in medium (OR=
1.69; 95%CI(1.18-2.44))), poor family economy
(OR=1.6; (1.14-2.24)), orphan father and/or
mother (OR= 2.24; 95%CI(1.25-4.03)), pass-time
job (OR= 1.41; 95%CI(1.04-1.91)). It concluded
that more than a quarter of interviewed students that
had depression, the rate of depression is dispose
unevenly among both majors and years of the
course. Some related factors are: medical majors,
high studying pressure, poor familial-economy,
orphan father and/or mother, pass-time job.
