cơ mắc triệu chứng hô hấp cấp tính cao gấp khoảng 2 lần so với trẻ sinh thường. Kết luận: Tỷ lệ mổ đẻ
cần được kiểm soát nhằm cải thiện tình trạng bệnh hô hấp trẻ ở trẻ.
Summary:
This study aims to determine the relationship
between cesarean section and acute respiratory
disease in children during 9 months postpartum.
This is cohort study, using data of 403 mother -
infant dyads in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong
province. The exposure is caesarean section;
the disease is a symptom of acute respiratory
infection including cough with breathing
difculties. Results showed that the rate of
cesarean section in the community was 38%,
the rate of infants with symptoms of cough
and breathing difculties in the frst, fourth,
six and nine months were 7.2%, 13.4%, 14.9%
and 19.8% respectively. Caesarean infants are
about 2 times more likely to suffer from acute
respiratory symptoms than vaginal delivery
infants. Conclusion: Caesarean birth rate needs
to be controlled to improve the respiratory health
status of infants.
