Nghiên cứu sử dụng phương pháp mô tả cắt ngang tại tháng 12 năm 2019 trên 445 trẻ từ 36 tới 60 tháng
tuổi đang học tại 3 trường mầm non thuộc huyện Vũ Thư, tỉnh Thái Bình năm 2019 nhằm mô tả tình trạng
suy dinh dưỡng, các bệnh thường gặp và mối liên quan giữa chúng. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, tỷ lệ
suy dinh dưỡng nhẹ cân, thấp còi và gầy còm lần lượt là 12,8%, 24,3% và 3,1%. Tỷ lệ viêm đường hô hấp
là 21,1%, tỷ lệ bệnh răng miệng là 50,3%, 3,8% trẻ bị viêm tai. Trẻ bị suy dinh dưỡng thể nhẹ cân và thấp
còi có nguy cơ mắc các bệnh đường hô hấp cao hơn lần lượt là 4,7 và 2,8 lần so với trẻ không bị suy dinh
dưỡng. Cần tăng cường truyền thông và đẩy mạnh các chương trình can thiệp để giảm thiểu tỷ lệ suy dinh
dưỡng, từ đó giảm nguy cơ mắc các bệnh ở trẻ
Summary:
A cross-sectional study was conducted in
December 2019 on 445 children aged 36 - 60
months in 3 kindergartens in Vu Thu, Thai Binh
aimed to descirbe the malnutrition and disease
status in children, as well as the association
between malnutrition and the diseases. The
results of study showed that, the propotion
of underweight, stunding and wasting were
12.8%, 24.3%, 3.1% respectively. The rate of
respiratory infections was 21.1%, the rate of
oral disease (tooth decay, gingivitis) was 50.5%,
3.8% of children have ear infections. The odd
ratio of having respiratory disease increase
with children sufng from underweight and
stunting (underweight OR = 4.7 as compared
to non- underweight and stunning OR = 2.8 as
compared to non-stunning Communication and
intervention programs need to be strengthened
to reduce the rate of malnutrition, thereby
reducing the risk of diseases in children.
