Summary:
The study was conducted in Hanoi in
order to determine the distribution of two
mosquito species Aedes aegypti, Aedes
albopictus in the different ecological
zones. Using a cross-sectional survey in
the dry and the rainy seasons, in 2011. Both
Aedes species were recorded in Hanoi.
However, the distribution of two species
were different in each ecological region,
particularly in urban areas and buffer zone
2 species were recorded Aedes aegypti and
Aedes albopictus, whereas in rural areas
was only Aedes albopictus just discovered.
The density of Aedes aegypti recorded
in buffer (0,09 mosquito/house) and in urban areas (0,03 mosquito/house). The
density of Aedes albopictus was highest
in urban areas (0,33 mosquito/house),
lower in buffer (0,18 mosquito/house)
and rural areas (0,15 mosquito/house).
In the rainy season, the density of Aedes
albopcitus recorded at all points ecology
were much higher than the dry season. The
results of this study will contribute to the
prediction and prevention planning dengue
hemorrhagic fever in Hanoi and continue
to monitor the mosquito vector populations
will be still needed in the future.
